Safety is one of the fundamental brand values of Mercedes-Benz. Since 1886, Mercedes-Benz has always been a pioneer in safety in passenger cars and commercial vehicles, driven by the vision of free accident driving.
Daimler's approach as a Mercedes-Benz brand holder in ensuring safety focuses on action, rather than reaction, anticipatory. This approach is characterized by a commercial vehicle accident analysis conducted by Daimler itself, which provides various information that engineers need in this company about the causes and effects of each accident.
This analysis becomes a major element in the development of active and passive safety systems, a combination of no match in knowledge and practical relevance. The whole system is self-developed and has been introduced in Mercedes-Benz vehicles around the world.
"The vision of free accident driving is our source of motivation, so we are constantly developing and introducing various safety systems. In addition, we are working with various relevant partners in campaigns and programs to spread the importance of safety," said Director of Network, Product & Retail Trucks Indonesia, Daimler Commercial Vehicles Indonesia (DCVI), as reported from pressrelease.id (27/2).
Daimler has consistently emphasized the importance of drivers to be equipped with knowledge in safety driving and traffic regulations. All of these efforts are based on Daimler's belief that accident prevention begins with drivers related to their fitness and wellness levels, workplace environment and safe operation of the vehicle.
To support this, Daimler trucks and buses which primarily Mercedes-Benz designed as "driver friendly vehicles" in all aspects of operations and comfort. All vehicle handling and its systems, including Anti-Lock Braking System, LED daytime running light and cabin with maximum comfort, are designed to suit the driver's needs, ensuring the work becomes easier.
